The natural reaction to hearing this song for the first time. Well, it was mine. It still is a bit now, thirty years later. The story is Black Francis performed the vocal track from a disused warehouse two blocks down from the recording studio and they used it in the song, such was the ferocity.
Obviously that’s not true, but it sounds like it could be.
Stole from Hüsker Dü, got raided by Nirvana. That’s the line you’ll constantly hear. I don’t really care, as long as it sounds good.
And this is the best song about slicing up eyeballs out there, trust me.
